The reporter’s words

Some months ago 2 tiny seedling trees (Totora I think) were planted at the Russley Rd end of Avonhead Park. One has now been mowed, and the other looks sick. Why on earth were such tiny trees planted? That side of the park needs a thick belt of natives to block the road noise which spoils the park. 5 dead trees were cut down recently (and 2 live ones (why?) but none of those have been replaced. I thought more trees were needed to help reduce climate change.
