The reporter’s words

Hi, Last week I was with my niece at the Mt Pleasant Old Reserve Playground. I observed multiple dogs on and around the play equipment not on a lead. This was very concerning as a tragedy could occur in just seconds when dogs are not under control. One dog also pooed right next to the slide and the owner did not have a plastic bag. After searching around for a sign to see what the rules where at this park I noticed a very small sign at the edge of the playground surround. I suggest erecting much larger and more visible signs around the playground, tennis court (as children play on this area with bikes and scooters) and entrances to the park so dog owners can clearly see the expectations and take their pooch to play further west in the old school reserve to the large grass area. Happy to help with suggested spots if needed. Thanks, Penny
