The reporter’s words
Footpath collapsing above decommissioned stormwater pipe that was dug through during sewer lateral replacement. We have heard this stormwater pipe is decommissioned but we (12 Speight St) and a number of our neighbours still have active stormwater pipes running into it. I suspect this has lead to the subsidence where the stormwater was broken.
