The reporter’s words
Most houses on the northern side of Maffeys drain water to the road and this is one of the key drains on lower Maffeys Rd. The grating has not been seated correctly allowing an exposed edge to the water flow which means every time it rains most of the water is thrown up onto the banking. This is compounded due to there being no raised edge on the kerb. Erosion on the banking is already present and with the road being a Mass Movement 1 area I’m concerned there is a high risk of slumping The drain is adjacent to my house at 10 Maffeys Rd I would be grateful if someone could repair this Thanks
