Reported Thursday, 8 September 2022 at 7:58 am, Lyttelton Clock Tower 24 Oxford Street, Lyttelton 8082, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
As the weather warms up my mornings of finding drug paraphernalia and related rubbish begins. This morning it included burnt bits of rubbish, a cut up can, and an empty bottle of hand sanitiser. Also jandals and other clothing like someone had just stepped out of them. All in all it makes a very wierd picture of what is going on there overnight. In the weekend it was a well made plastic bottle meth pipe and point bags. I’m always there early in the mornings walking the dogs through and one day I feel I’ll find a body. It no longer feels safe. Please note it borders on the school playing field which children use and often the detritus spreads to there too. Could the council please explain why you can’t put in a cctv, or ask police to do nighttime checks particularly on warmer nights? This is not just a bit of dope it is clearly harder drugs and from the rubbish and very juvenile drawings and tags that often go with it, young people getting in deep over their heads in what is a very iso
