Roading/Streets
Reported Thursday, 7 September 2017 at 9:26 am, 170, Montreal Street, Christchurch, 8011, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
There are a lot of car sales years at the top of Montreal street close to the Morehouse Ave end. Montreal street is a very busy one way street with two lanes. Every day there are multiple car carriers blocking the lanes sometimes on both sides if the road as the same time. This causes congestion and more importantly it is very dangerous. Cars that get trapped behind sometimes will change lanes at the last minute. Can I please recommend and request that loading zones are reserved on the left and right hand side of the Montreal street this would appear to make a lot of sense and will minimise disruption and risk of accident.
