The reporter’s words

Re Cycle lights not activating/only activating with delay Hello, The new pedestrian and cycle crossing from Linwood park to Marlborough Street is great. Cycle light activation and switching to green light coming from the east (Linwood Park) is pretty much instant, but that’s not the case coming from the other direction (Marlborough Street). The cycle lights either do not activate at all, or activate after a lot of moving back and forth of the bike on the activation area in the ground. Even once they activate though, the switch to green takes a long time (minute?). This often results in cyclists not waiting for a green light, but crossing in between traffic. Also, the red activation lights are next to impossible to see when the sun is setting. Can you please check the cycle light activation and green light interval? Kind Regards, Florian
