The reporter’s words

The first photo is the garden !!!!!! beside the ferrymead bridge on the city side of the ferrymead bridge. As you can see it's over grown with weeds, plants are dying through lack of water and maintenance. The second photo is of the composite Pitt or overflow with the garden around it. As you can see it's green, healthy and no weeds. My question is " how come "??? They are right beside each other??? Before you say they are 2 different contractors, which they probably are, we don't care as it all comes out of the same purse which is the rate payers and if one contractor can keep that area looking great then why can't the other contractor. The whole weeding maintenance out this this way is shocking particularly around the Ferrymead bridge. The only thing the Council have done is take the rubbish bins away so there is more rubbish lying around to match more weeds. People use to pick up the rubbish but as there are very little rubbish bins around I don't bother and neither do others . It is time the Council start to do the basics probably with our rates b4 all the other fancy stuff. Very hard for us out here to see the justification for putting up the rates when we don't get what we are deserved.
