Parks
Reported Wednesday, 14 March 2018 at 9:55 am, 95–119, Kilmore Street, Christchurch, 8013, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
The Kia has parked across a driveway into a private parking lot. The second (green) car is parked into the lane along Kilmore street. Yellow lines need to be increased here to stop cars obscuring driveways and the lane for turning traffic from Colombo Street turning into the closest lane. There is a van that parks too close (less than 1 metre) to the driveway on the other side which forces those of us parked in the car park to exit at 90 degrees to the traffic flow straight out so you end up in the other lane for a time before you can straighten up. Parking is obviously becoming harden for workers in the city but I am paying to park legally so feel frustrated when others do this.
