Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Thursday, 7 December 2023 at 1:10 pm, 16 Carlton Mill Road, Merivale, Christchurch 8014, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Hi, contractors normally clean the weed from the Avon in this area every 6 months but this year tha last clean was I think in April. At this point I can not recall the river ever looking so bad. There also appears to be a new weed type in the river that I have never seen before, it almost looks like a “Rock Snot” which appears to be quite invasive. Many residents have expressed their concern on the state of the river, any action would be really appreciated. Thank you
