Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Sunday, 17 December 2023 at 10:29 am, 18 Carlton Mill Road, Merivale, Christchurch 8014, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The Avon river (riverside from approx 12 Carlton Mill Road up to the Carlton Mill Corner (bridge) appears to be infested with a prolifically growing weed I haven’t seen before. It’s on both sides of the river here and when the river is low it has quite a nasty smell. It’s also catching flotsam coming down the river which doesn’t help. It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen the river cleaners working around here so thought it worth mentioning before it completely takes over.
