The designated bike path leading from the city centre toward Papanui comes to this intersection, the intersection has no easy way for cyclists or pedestrians to cross as there is no giveaways/stops for vehicles. During peak travel times it can take up to 5 minutes to wait for a clearing on both sides of the street A middle crossing stop or pedestrian crossing could help so many people move safely
