General Request

Reported Monday, 4 March 2024 at 10:41 am, 9 Drayton Drive, Mount Pleasant, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

Drayton reserve is listed as a shared use track. My concern is that the volume of mountain bikers using this track has increased since the port Hills fire recently. It is a narrow track and not suited to bikes and pedestrians. Also if the wrong crowd decides to start bombing down hill it could result in injuries. The erosion around the hairpin bends is already showing signs of trail damage. Pre e bikes very few cyclists would have attempted this route uphill, but it is quickly becoming popular.
