The reporter’s words
There is a large void under the asphalt outside 450 Barbadoes Street. It is located right next to the power pole. It is very hard to photograph, but the void is quite large and deep, and has begun to undermine the footpath. Given a lot of vehicle movements occur over this area, I am concerned that the asphalt will continue to degrade, opening up the void as a significant hazard to pedestrians and vehicles
