The reporter’s words

The roads are getting very dangerous in our neighbourhood. Late night burnouts are occurring at the junctions of Innes Rd/Nancy Ave, Nancy Ave/Knowles st Nancy Ave/Ranger, Croziers/McFadden's. The burnouts are happening in the early hours, they are becoming almost nightly. There is a lot of tyre debris on the roads, suggesting the vehicles are totally out of control. There is evidence vehicles have been leaving the round and mounting footpaths. This is a residential area with lots of young families. However there are two gang houses close to these junctions. I think it's time the council consider the use of temporary judder bars/speed humps to stop this practice. I will be mobilising the local community to highlight this issue and welcome your assistance..
