Damaged Road
Reported Wednesday, 17 April 2024 at 2:12 pm, 4 Archer Street, Mairehau, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This section of Flockton street is slumping, and creating a hump. As buses and heavy traffic hit this bump it shakes our house and the neighbours too. It is getting so bad we are considering leaving Christchurch, as it feels like an earthquake and scaring my family. I’m aware there was a project to fix the street, but this has now been delayed. We need the road surface cut, and ramped to the length of a bus wheelbase to create a smooth transition over the manhole in the centre of the road.
