Pavement - General
Reported Tuesday, 14 May 2024 at 8:01 am, Park Tce near Peterborough St, Canterbury 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
A new raised crossing has been installed across a bike lane in the last week. This crossing is dangerous, has very steep approaches and threatens to cause accidents for cyclists not paying full attention to the 'jump' installed. There are many instances of crossings on bike lanes across ChCh which are well designed with shallow approaches, but this is poorly designed bordering on negligent. As it is brand new, this needs to be resolve ASAP as it is a health and safety risk.
