Roads - General
Reported Wednesday, 15 May 2024 at 8:18 am, Park Tce near Peterborough St, Canterbury 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Given the horizontal changes of direction at this location, the speed bump is far too steep to negotiate safely. I nearly went over the handlebars when first riding it at night. Having to turn, go up and down a steep ramp and turn again in the wet is likely to cause crashes. It appears to have been designed to make it difficult for bikes to turn right in the slip lane onto Salisbury St as well, creating a more dangerous situation for riders to enter traffic to turn right.
