Rubbish/Recycling
Reported Wednesday, 8 August 2018 at 1:01 pm, 38, Wellington Street, Phillipstown, 8011, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
This is the gutter outside 38 Wellington Street. It and the pavement are strewn with rubbish left by the numerous backpackers that seem to stay in this house. I suspect the gutter never gets cleaned because of the large number of the guests' cars and vans constantly parked there. Yesterday I tripped and fell on plastic strapping left all over the path, bruising my left side quite badly. Today I see it's all in the gutter (great for our waterways!). I'd like the property owner to clean up (and I'd also be keen to know if their guest house set-up is legal - there's a lot of noise and mess in the summer).
