Suggestion for alternate Cranford Basin path (east side of Cranford Street). Given the dangers of driveways near Waitomo, could a shared path (even if it was gravel initially) be constructed between Winters Road and the existing shared path on Cranford Street. See mocked up image, 80% of the path is there. Granted bridge and close to road would need more consideration. People could use McFaddens Road to connect to Papanui Parallel cycleway (or quieter streets on the east side).
