Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Thursday, 17 October 2024 at 11:09 pm, 444 Governors Bay Road, Te Rapaki-o-Te Rakiwhakaputa 8971, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Is there any control being taken on the broom which is in full flower at present on the roadside around the Lyttelton harbour area ? generally the stock are controlling it on farm lands but not on the roadsides. In the past this has been controlled by spraying it, and the gorse, which is seen by the coloured marker in the spray. None is evident currently. I understand it is a pest and in the dry times ahead becomes a fire hazard Also this goes for the salt bush which is now rampant in places.
