The reporter’s words

The loose shingle from the edge of the “widened” road is on the road itself and is causing a slip hazard to walkers and cyclists in particular. A cyclist came off his bike a few years ago when there was loose shingle on the road further up. This will continue to be an ongoing issue unless more can be done to contain the shingle?
