The reporter’s words
Please please please can our parks and recreation team do something about the weeds that continue to grow around the retaining wall on the right going up St Andrews Hill. The whole area around the Ferrymead bridge is a disgrace. After spending all that money on plants and they are not maintained. There are so many weeds that the plants can’t compete. The retaining wall needs to be replanted with plants that will hang over the wall to soften it. There is a tap at one end of the wall so a simple irritation system could easily be put in to keep it watered. I would like to see some maintenance done around this area this Summer. Thanks
