The reporter’s words

This is on the footpath / bike lane between Straven Rd and Kahu Rd that borders on Boys High School. These two trees have been snapped off by force. On Friday 2nd November these had been snapped off and looking at the newness of the break and the leaves were still intact (green) would indicate these were broken sometime during that day? I walked through this area at around 5pm and saw two CBHS students, possibly year 9 or 10 boys bending another tree further down the pathway. Both boys had CBHS tracksuit tops on. Given the behaviour of these boys and the proximity of the school would indicate it was boys from this school who have done this? Not necessarily those two boys but certainly other students. This fits the pattern of certain juvenile behaviour and the petty vandalism of certain members of this school. I would appreciate a reply to my concerns, and I feel this needs to be taken up with the school. This kind of destructive behaviour is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by local residents (I am a long standing local resident of 17 years). There are good staff and good students at this school and they should be made aware of certain elements letting down the school in this way. Thanks Regards Steve
