Noise - General
Reported Saturday, 16 November 2024 at 2:28 am, 315 Port Hills Road, Hillsborough, Christchurch 8022, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The factory opposite my home (Waitaki Biosciences at 320 port hills rd) is going 24 hrs, never stops. It is over the City plan noise limits. This is taken at night, 2am on Saturday with no traffic and no detectable ambient noise. It is at the balcony/door just outside my main bedroom, which I can’t sleep in because of the constant noise. And you can never open the windows. This continuous obsessive noise has adversely affected the ability for me to sleep or relax in my own home for some time.
