Roads - General
Reported Monday, 10 February 2025 at 1:55 am, Riccarton Avenue, Canterbury 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Re: Temporary Traffic Management Cyclists heading east on Riccarton Ave from Deans Ave are directed after the Deans Ave intersection onto an off-road cycle lane. Unfortunately this is immediately blocked by a pedestrian detour sign! Note there is no cyclist detour signage at this location, even though there appears to be work underway ahead on the cycle lane. Note also that where ped detour signage is, it is a cycle lane only, not a shared path, so peds shouldn’t be on it to require a detour.
