Park - General Request
Reported Tuesday, 18 February 2025 at 3:49 pm, FJCG+Q3 Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Temporary Traffic Management Signs in Hagley Park indicate that cycleways will be blocked for SIX days for Electric Avenue, which runs for TWO days. Why is ease of setup for a profit making private company favoured over the ~1900 cyclists/day using these paths? Why give permission after they kept them blocked last year without authority (ticket 1050581)? And after CCC advised “Cyclists should be using route in the Park” (ticket 1252596), but now you block them? PS Cycleway not defined in TCD!!
