Roading/Streets
Reported Sunday, 3 February 2019 at 8:41 am, 3, Maffeys Road, Mount Pleasant, 8081, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
My partner suffered severe injuries last Thursday night after hitting a rutted section of road, losing control of his bicycle & ended crashing into these concrete blocks. He’s currently in hospital & will be having ongoing recovery most likely for more than a month. A neighbor has advised the concrete blocks have been left in this location since the major christchurch earthquake. If they had been removed my partners injuries would have been substantially smaller. The concrete blocks are opposite # 8 Maffeys Rd.
