Flooding
Reported Tuesday, 19 February 2019 at 5:49 pm, 16, Seamount Terrace, Mount Pleasant, 8081, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
We have an ongoing issue with our neighbors at 16 Seamount Terrace, so don’t feel like we can approach them with this current issue. They have at least 2 ‘water features’ on their property that we can hear (we can’t see them but suspect they may just be running their taps). They turn these on any time we are outside all year and any time of day/night. This has resulted in a lot of excess water in the last few years on our property which is killing our newly landscaped garden. The amount of water is so bad that it has also damaged the gutters on the roadside outside their property. The photos were taken today after a long period of no rain, so there should be no water. It is worth pointing out that this is how it is at all times even in winter when there is no need to turn on taps. So it is no wonder the water has caused significant damage to the road creating potholes. The last photo shows the road damage with the water pooling on a 30 degree day. Can you please advise what can be done about this. Regards Julie
