The reporter’s words

Suggestion: For pedestrian underpasses like Hills Road and Grimseys Road, often water runs down the pavement, making it slippery. If a small channel was cut adjacent to the wall, water would run down that instead. As an example, the Hills Road underpass has that partially done up to the point where drainage comes through the wall. It would be good that (or a smaller version of the channel) was continued all the way to the top.
