The reporter’s words
This large tree is partly rotten from the ground to 2m. It’s on an almost 45deg lean over Whisby Walkway which is used by numerous people especially kids, parents & buggies on their way to kindy & school. It is also used by a lot of walkers, young and old. Some local kids play on the path, including our 5 year old grandson. I love trees, but I think it’s extremely dangerous to leave it standing until it falls & possibly kills someone. In addition the soil around here is shallow on top of rock.
