Roads - General
Reported Thursday, 22 May 2025 at 3:53 pm, 149–151 Madras St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Re: Temporary Traffic Management Cycle lane at the new signalised pedestrian crossing on Madras St outside Ara has been coned off with no warning for approaching cyclists or motorists. Using shared path bypass is not feasible given fenced works on footpath. This is a novel approach to traffic management by TMNZ at a worksite aimed at improving vulnerable road user safety. /s
