Roads - General
Reported Friday, 22 August 2025 at 2:16 pm, 47 New Brighton Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8061, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I cycle along New Brighton Road most days and I am very concerned about the section outside Windsor House. This external bend becomes particularly dangerous when cars are parked along it, as cyclists are pushed out into the live traffic lane right where vehicles commonly cut the corner. This situation creates an ongoing hazard and increases the risk of collisions. I strongly request that yellow no-parking lines be installed along this stretch to make it safer for cyclists and all road users.
