The reporter’s words

Earlier this year the Council did works on the water mains at Selwyn/Ruskin. They dug up the verge to make a trench but have done a poor job at restoring it. There is a hard dirt patch now where the grass should be, a plank of wood sticking up out of the ground, and the footpath pavement has broken away creating a hole. It's potentially dangerous if the concrete continues to break off, and an eyesore. It's opposite the Resene paintshop where the courtesy crossing is.
