Traffic Signals
Reported Sunday, 5 October 2025 at 6:46 pm, 7 Sherborne St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I travel southbound along Sherborne street and then turn right (westbound) on to Bealey ave daily. The traffic light does not stay amber long enough to safely cross the intersection across all 6 lanes in time. Most days I enter when the light is green and it then changes amber and is already red for me and green for oncoming traffic before I’ve even made it across. You then have oncoming traffic tooting thinking I’ve run a red even when I’m doing the speed limit. Has been like this for months.
