Street Gutters / Storm Water

Reported Wednesday, 8 October 2025 at 5:30 pm, 218 Governors Bay Road, Te Rapaki-o-Te Rakiwhakaputa 8971, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

Stormwater runoff from Governors bay road (above the pensioner flats) continues to inundate private property. This has been an ongoing issue for several years (Council has been notified of this issue previously). Drains and a bund need to be placed on the main road to stop this from continually happening. Runoff has rotted the retaining wall near the flats, and pensioners find it difficult to get out of their properties due to the amount of water around their homes. Please attend to this issue!
