Rubbish and Bins - General
Reported Monday, 13 October 2025 at 8:34 am, 248 Manchester St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Airbnb guests Kia ora Council last week I intercepted a couple of people walking through my property with rubbish bags looking for bins. They were staying in one of the the short term accommodation properties in the Growcott Freer gated development and I met them in my driveway, when I told them my bins were not the ones they were looking for they tried to open my neighbours’ gate to access their bins. I told them the bins should be within the gated area. Not ideal.
