Park - General Request
Reported Thursday, 13 November 2025 at 7:40 pm, 33 Sandy Beach Rd, Canterbury, Lyttelton 8971, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Where has the bench and the hebe gone? Contractors have been in to cut the overgrown vegetation. Instead they have left weeds (periwinkle) and cut down young native tree (hebe) and removed the bench that is frequently used by locals and visitors alike to enjoy the beach! Please can we have the bench back, some proper management of the grass and periwinkle that hasn’t been cut and some eduction to contractors about native plants not to cut down! Thanks
