Animal - General
Reported Sunday, 16 November 2025 at 1:28 pm, Canterbury, Christchurch 8062, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Will you be changing the signs down at the spit? People still walking dogs around spit and off lead. Today I watched a regular and her two dogs which pissed all over a fisherman’s gear then continue. Another local man who lives Caspian Street continues to let his dogs hunt in the spit reserve and walk off lead around it. These people were the reason the rules got changed sadly they won’t change. Few walking on lead around spit as signage still says you can.
