Roads - General
Reported Sunday, 16 November 2025 at 2:37 pm, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Te: Temporary Traffic Management Not sure why it seems like a good idea to partially or completely block the shoulder eastbound on Riccarton Ave AFTER cyclists have been directed onto that shoulder. Especially given the wide grass area on the other side of the footpath, which also has great sightlines for approaching drivers (good enough that the 30 kph TSL sign is on the grass - so much for consistency at this site). Presumably TTM associated with the cricket at Hagley Oval.
