Gardens on Snellings Drain. The western side gardens of Snellings Drain have had bark laid down as a weed suppressant. The gardens on the eastern side of Snellings Drain has never had bark laid down. Why is this? Surely it’s cheaper to lay bark on the eastern side than to pay workers to weed spray, pull weeds, collect weed into piles and dispose of weeds. Why can’t there be weeds on the eastern side too? We are constantly looking after this garden when the council don’t. That’s not right!
