Roads - General
Reported Thursday, 11 December 2025 at 8:00 am, 36 Taramea Place, Addington, Christchurch 8024, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Cars are using the left side right turning lane to go straight. This makes sense as there is a lane opposite that they can go into. The straight through traffic is backed up every single morning adding at least 10 minutes to my drive. I'm trying to turn down the little side road just before you enter onto the motorway again. As are many others. Making the right side left turning lane a turn or straight through would help clear the backlog of vehicles
