Reported Thursday, 11 December 2025 at 12:30 pm, 53R Hulverstone Drive, Avondale, Christchurch 8061, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Main foot path of the important tourist attraction Avon riverside trail, where it passes under the Anzac Drive SH74 Bridge. At high tide, it is flooded in 100mm of water, at low tide it is becoming thick with mud. leaving this route cut under all conditions, and forcing cycling's and pedestrians to cross the highway at very risky areas.
