The reporter’s words
Leak - been there a very long time. Stopped then started again at least 6 months ago from memory. Corner stevensons Steep and St Davids Street Lyttelton. Work was done a couple meters from it, a month or two ago. I pointed it out to the workers and figured it would be addressed as part of their monitoring of underground water which I was told they were doing due to concerns about the high wall (historic jail wall below leak). Must be causing significant underground water build up and I’m concerned it’s adding to damage to the wall. If it’s all part of what they are trying to monitor and fix then please disregard this. Just wanted to log it in case somehow it’s been missed as it’s weird it’s not been dug up and investigated along with the work done next to it. Thanks
