The reporter’s words

the air conditioned entrance hall to the chch conference center has a design fault in that if the external doors are open for an extended period then there is no separation of the air conditioned internal space and the outside air. this results in a huge waste of energy due to uncontrolled entry of outside air. this should be remedied using a 'vertical air curtain'.overtime time this would reduce the carbon footprint of the center. and yes the doors do remain open for extended times. I.e all day
