Roads - General
Reported Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 9:16 pm, 142–176 Barbadoes St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Please could we have one of those hook turns for cycles to turn right onto St Asaph Street from Barbadoes St? It is very difficult turning right here in peak time and I nearly got knocked off the other day. That part of St Asaph St goes onto a main cycle route through town but it’s hard to get onto it if you’re coming from Barbadoes St (which is also clearly marked as a cycle way along the new road markings outside the stadium)
