The reporter’s words

I understand that the Hagley Netball courts are a CCC responsibility when it comes to maintenance. While the courts closest to the pavilion look nice as they are painted blue with a green surround, these two painted areas when wet - are extremely slippery for both netball players and umpires. I have watched games in these conditions for 2 years now and have reached the point of complaining as insufficient maintenance is occurring to improve traction. I appreciate painted surfaces are always bad in wet conditions however a decent spray of wet and forget (or similar) coupled with a decent mechanical scrub, may well improve this problem. In short, the courts are dangerous when wet and need urgent attention. If further information is required, I suggest speaking to the numerous white umpires who are also well aware of this problem. Thanks.
