The reporter’s words
There are dogs (bitch and pup) from 32 Foster Terrace currently on the loose in Urumau reserve above this address. See photo. While I was at this location three mothers carrying babies and walking their dogs came by and they felt intimidated and asked me to restrain the bitch. The bitch is called Talcum and recently had a large litter which have whined almost constantly since being born. The owner shouts at them quite a bit. I believe these dogs are a potential threat to public safety. They seem to be pure bred Dogo Argentino, which is classified as a menacing dog in NZ and illegal in Australia. The owner definitely does not have a suitable fence, as is required under NZ dog regulations. I have never seen these dogs muzzled when off their property. The owner is clearly breeding and selling pups from this bitch.
