Pavement - Damaged
Reported Thursday, 26 February 2026 at 10:30 am, Canterbury, Banks Peninsula Ward, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The decking on the access jetty beside the launching ramp in Akaroa has decking that is rotting and has broken away around numerous bolts. It could collapse in places under the weight of a heavier person or wheelchair. While borderline at the moment this could become a serious issue over the winter months.
