Trees - General
Reported Saturday, 14 March 2026 at 5:47 pm, Harper Ave, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Some of the branches on the cherry trees along Harper ave overhanging the cycle and walkway are dangerously low. They are at head height for cyclists, many of whom go fast along this pathway, and they are not marked with reflector tape or paint and are therefore very difficult to see in the dim light or darkness. There is likely to be a serious (head) injury if a cyclist or even a tall walker/runner connects with one of these. Please either mark them with indicators or remove them.
